# App Store Connect History: Status Changes, Not Metadata

The **History** section shows the **status** changes of past app versions, including when each change occurred and who initiated it. Expand a version to follow its progress through submission, review, and release. [Apple: View app status history](https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-your-apps-availability/view-app-status-history/)

It does **not** provide a snapshot of that version’s metadata. You cannot use it to retrieve old descriptions, screenshots, keywords, or release notes. Keep your own copies if you want a complete release archive.

**Check the platform selector at the top.** If your app supports both iOS and macOS, select the platform whose history you want to inspect.
