Start by Syncing #
When setting up an app for the first time, we recommend strongly syncing its remote assets from App Store Connect to your local folder.
From then on, your local assets are the source of truth. Manage and edit them locally before uploading your changes.
Find and Preview Assets #
Filter assets by device and language, or use Search to find specific files.
Status icons indicate whether an image meets basic format requirements. Check these before uploading.
Open Quick View to browse through your images. You can resize the preview window for a closer look.
Actions for Selected Assets #
Select one or more images, then right-click to:
- Delete Selected — Delete the selected assets.
- Fix Alpha Channel — Remove transparency from the selected images.
- Reviewed Text — Mark the text in created localized screenshots as reviewed.
Order Assets #
Arrange screenshots in the order you want them to appear on the App Store.
You can copy the order for a device to other languages when matching files consistently follow the naming pattern name_language-Device.
For example: main_de-DE-iPhone.png and main_en-US-iPhone.png.
Edit Screenshots #
Use the screenshot editor to crop or scale images, add text, or add localized text when the translation feature is enabled.
To apply the same text overlay to multiple images, save it as a template and reuse it on the next image.
Upload Assets #
File Names and Repeat Uploads
AbbzThor adds the language and device suffix when uploading—for example, help.png becomes help_de-DE-iPhone.png. Your local filename stays unchanged.
Unchanged files are recognized on subsequent uploads and reused. Keep the hidden .cssc-upload.json file in your assets folder—it stores the upload references.
Moving Assets / folder #
When moving or backing up your assets, copy the entire folder, including hidden files, to preserve upload references.
